Career Development Project Opening

ARTM cooperates with the Social Welfare Bureau and Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macau S.A.R. as it launches the new project called “Hold On To Hope”, or in short, “H2H”.

This Project aims at assisting rehabilitation and reintegration into the society through vocational training and professional practice. ARTM launches a Café and a Gallery in two historic houses in the Nossa Senhora Village, Ká-Hó, to facilitate diverse professional skills of the residences, including tours, selling of art pieces, maintenance, marketing and management, etc.

It has received various support from the society, including the venue allocation from Cultural Affairs Bureau. We also received various trainings offered by local enterprises and organizations (Association of Gastronomia Activa, The House of Fine Foods (Macau) Ltd, The Roadhouse Macau, Wynn F&B Academy), which furthers the career development of people under rehabilitation and their reintegration.

Therefore, ARTM will have its Opening Ceremony of the “Hold On To Hope” Career Development Project together with our first exhibition “Art of Healing” on 19th December, 2020, 3:00pm to 4:00pm, not only to announce the open of the facilities to public, but also to express gratitude for the support from everyone and the efforts of our residents in this Project.

The 1st exhibition of the “Hold On To Hope” project is the “Art of Healing” supported by The National Narcotics Control Commission of People’s Republic of China. The exhibition invited drug dependence treatment centres from more than 20 provinces and municipalities, displaying numerous pieces from their residences, such as: drawings, ceramics, and art-pieces; and hence displaying the passion of the resident towards life and art. To match with the regional development of the Nossa Senhora Village, to establish spaces with cultural, historical, and artistic atmosphere and to enrich the cultural life of the citizens, ARTM integrates our career development to provide simple and healthy snacks and beverages in the Café.

ARTM will also co-organize small workshops, group interactions, webinar workshops and reading groups in the two houses. ARTM welcomes tours and understanding from the citizens to our houses, as well as hopes that the support from the local society will prolong the “Hold On To Hope” Project, not only assisting the minorities, but also promoting the beautiful historical areas for tourism and family picnics.
