This program incorporates the bio-psychosocial model, therapeutic community and methadone- to abstinence – residential (MTAR) program with a relapse prevention follow up explicitly designed for women.

ARTM follows the Therapeutic Community approach, where the community itself, through self-help and mutual support, is the principal channel in promoting personal change.

The community works together with our staff to overcome the problem of substance dependence and promote personal change.

Our clients (referred to as residents) and staff participate in the management and day to day operation of the community, providing a consistent and safe environment.

Residents are encouraged to take responsibility for themselves and develop their awareness of the effect their behaviour has on themselves and on the community around them.

Our large treatment centre offers the residential therapeutic program free of charge for locals. It can have up to twenty women working towards a life free from addiction.
